About The Lexington Players

The Lexington Players was founded in 1995 as the town’s only not-for-profit theatre troupe. In 2001, in its second time participating in the Eastern Massachusetts Community Theatre (EMACT) Annual Drama Festival, the Players won nine nominations and four awards for “Sorry, Wrong Number,” including Best Ensemble, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Sound Design, and the group was selected as a finalist. In 2002, the Players conducted its first New Director’s Showcase of One-Acts Plays, and undertook its first three-show season, plus a summer performance for children. In January 2003 it held the first in a series of new, periodic workshops, “Monologue Technique--Understanding the Monologue”
